What is a good reaction time?
The average human reaction time to a visual stimulus is about 273 milliseconds. Pro gamers and athletes often land in the 200–250ms range, and anything under 200ms is exceptional. The score includes both the time your brain takes to process the color change and the time to physically move your finger.
How to improve your reaction time
- Stay relaxed — tension slows you down. Rest your finger lightly on the mouse.
- Look at the center of the box, not the edges.
- Don't anticipate. Clicking before green resets the test.
- Get enough sleep and warm up with a few practice rounds.
FAQ
Why did it say "Too early"?
You clicked before the box turned green. The delay is randomized so you can't guess it.
Is 250ms good?
Yes — that's faster than the average of 273ms.
Does my device affect the score?
Slightly. Display refresh rate and input lag add a few ms, but the relative comparison is fair.
